Trevor Warren is an independent author whose debut book, The Terror and the Sword, won two bronze medals in the 2025 Global Book Awards. He transitioned from reading to writing, though he still reads, after a friend told Warren that he should write a book.

Warren’s plan was to write a historical fiction, but when he sat down at the keyboard and began to write, he found himself writing the first draft of what would eventually become The Terror and the Sword. Having no goal of becoming an author, Warren thought that The Terror and the Sword would be a standalone book. That is, until he finished and realized he needed more books to finish the story. Those subsequent books would become his first series: The Hueik Trilogy. With more book ideas in mind, Warren decided to establish an author business.

Warren jumped into the domain of children’s books when he wrote down the first lines of a book based on one of his niece’s stuffed animals. Those lines would turn into the Construction Cuddles series of picture books. Besides picture books, Warren intends to branch out into other genres, though right now he is focused on fantasy.

When he’s not writing novels, Warren writes for his Substack, Classically Centered, where he discusses ancient Rome and Greece under the pen name Lucius Cornelius Priscus. Having completed a bachelor’s degree in Classical Studies (the study of ancient Rome and Greece), Warren wanted to write further on the topics but not go to graduate school, so he started a Substack to do so.
