Who Am I?
Hi, I’m Trevor! These bios are supposed to be in a professional, matter-of-fact tone, but I’m an independent author, so I don’t have to follow those rules. I decided I don’t want to write a dry, formal biography; I want to write the opposite.
Are you okay with that? Of course, you are! This is my website, and you’ve come here to see what I’m like, which requires me to write in an authentic way that reflects my personality. So, here’s just that without giving you an autobiography.
I grew up reading, though that wasn’t always the case. What changed? My family and I saw a movie with a long title: Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief. We loved it, learned that it was a book, and read it as a family. That’s how I became a reader.
Fast-forward a few years, and my friend tells me I should write a book. The book was going to be a historical fiction where I saw major events unfold before my eyes because my friend would pick my brain at lunchtime about history, and said it was like I had witnessed history.
But that wasn’t to be my first book. I sat down to write the historical fiction book, and instead, I inexplicably found myself writing a fantasy book. This would be the very first draft of what would become my debut novel, The Terror and the Sword. Now, I’m trying to make it as an indie author. If you bought one of my books, thank you!
