IMPORTANT: If you are going to write about a book club, DON’T. You don’t need my permission to use one of my books in a book club, and I am not going to pay to have a “feature” in a book club. Furthermore, if you contact me to offer a service regarding one of my books, I will ask you questions to determine whether you have read the book. I only work with people who have read the book they mention when pitching me a service, and I will only work with you AFTER you have proven to have read my book. If you email me about featuring one of my books in a book club, or if you fail to demonstrate that you have read my book, then I will send you a prewritten email, one that is copied and pasted and very lengthy, that will essentially ask, “Did you read the ‘Imporatnt’ section of my website that was above my email?” Also, the email will be professional, well-written, but scathing. After it’s sent, you won’t hear from me ever again, and I will block your email address. But if you’re a fan and have a question about a book or just want to talk about it, I am always happy to do so.
