IMPORTANT: First, I do not participate in any awards where cold emails get sent out to authors. I am done seeking awards, especially those that offer “early bird” discounts and cost more than $100 to enter. Second, I do not work with people who use generative AI in their emails. I am a writer and want to hear your voice in an email, even if the copywriting is bad, not a machine’s. Third, if you are offering me a service afer a service after “reading” my book, then you will need to provide proof that you bought the book with a picture and will have to answer detailed questions, not just about what’s in the book, but what you thought about the book before I even think about purchasing your services. I am not against working with people offering their services via email, but unless you're transparent, not just about your services but also about the fact that you have read, or haven’t read, one of my books, then it’s my preference to not do business with you.
