Bowv deserves to die.

The infamous bandit has killed kings, turned villages to ash, and transformed ancient streets into rivers of blood.

While he sits in a dungeon awaiting execution, war wages across the Continent, something that hasn’t changed since he was a soldier. Yet, there’s another threat, one supposedly dealt with millennia ago: vampires.

Bowv is forced to deal with both threats after being released by Rono, the very king who threw him in the dungeon. They discover that vampires do walk amongst them, and even Bowv, at first a skeptic, must admit this after he keeps killing vampires.

Vampires are hard to kill, but fortunately, Bowv has the sword of the gods, a divine weapon created to kill vampires. While Bowv can’t deny the effectiveness of the blade, he remains a steadfast atheist.

But the situation gets worse, as the vampires bring war to Rono’s kingdom. The king is caught unprepared and turns to Bowv for help. Bowv agrees, his reasons selfish and nothing more.

What Bowv doesn’t realize is that this war will shatter his worldview and change him forever.

This isn’t a novel it’s a short story about the events that lead up to the opening of The Terror and the Sword. It also introduces characters who will appear in the second book of the trilogy. Now, you don’t need to read this to read the second book of the trilogy. However, I would recommend reading it before the second book, so you will already be familiar with the new characters.

To read it, go to: https://dl.bookfunnel.com/2230ar4kc0, and it will take you to a landing page on a site called BookFunnel, which is a wonderful site that helps authors send out electronic advanced reader copies. Full disclosure, you will need to provide an email to get the book. I will not spam you. I don’t like having to sign up for something, only to have my inbox flooded with emails, and I suspect that you don’t either. I want your email so I can let you know when new books are released or give updates on the current book I’m working on, such as when the first draft is complete. That’s it. I won’t send anything else.

Blood Will Spill.

Salroon, the vampire who ruled the Kingdom of Diefet, is dead, slain by Bowv the Terror of the Continent. His death brought the end of the Diefetian conquest of the Kingdom of Eshtar.

With the war ended Bowv should resume his criminal lifestyle, one he put on hold to help his brother, King Rono of Eshtar, fight against the Diefetian invasion. But things have changed, and Bowv can’t go back to the life he once lived.

Bowv has met gods whose existence he denied, has killed vampires, beings supposedly eradicated millennia ago, was saved by a demon, and wields the swords of the gods. But that’s not what holds Bowv back from resuming banditry.

With his dying word, King Salroon revealed that he was not the King of Vampires. Knowing that the vampire king will want the sword of the gods, Bowv hunts for the vampiric leader.

But when the vampire king kills, it’s apparent that Bowv doesn’t have the skills to stop him. Will the vampire king be the one who will best the Terror? Or will Bowv adapt and uncover the elusive King of Vampires?
